Our Story

Kamesia started the brand Neshay's Naturals as a way to share her knowledge and expertise of natural hair and help other women accept and LOVE their natural hair community. Kamesia started her natural hair journey in April 30, 2014 with a big chop that shook her family and friends. Despite the negative comments about her short hair, and her own apprehension of how to care for her natural hair, she went on a journey to find not only what would work for her hair but of self-acceptance. It wasn't long before her hair began to flourish, and people's comments turned into "how did you grow your hair?" In 2014, Kamesia decided to start sharing her hair experiences and experiments, especially focused on a holistic approach to care for her eczema flareups on her skin.

Kamesia also started research on everything natural after the big chop including butters and oils. I became addicted to obtaining knowledge of Ayurvedic and African herbs and their powerful medicinal benefits to grow, heal and nurture the scalp. Aploecia runs in my family and so does hyperpigmentation. August 1, 2019 I decided to make the big pledge to loc my hair and it has been the best and most free decision since, it really made me feel like I was finally embracing my roots. When I realized in 2021 that my oldest daughter started experiencing hyperpigmentation so that's when the creation of the brand Neshay's Naturals was born. My drive came from fixing a problem that my family was dealing with and a lot of African Americans today. Who knew in the beginning of 2024 that my Hair Growth Oil, Rose Water, Aloe Vera Gel, and now Moringa Soap would take off the way that it did.
